Few days back, Nigerian singer Davido shared his song with American rapper Lil Baby off his forthcoming album “A Better Time.” To a lot of Davido fans, the song was a classic, but some fans of the American rapper were not with the claim.
On the release of the song, it trended on go and as usual, while some were pleased with the delivery, some picked the opposite. It seems the rapper had noticed a wide disapproval from his fans who are not used to hearing him sound like he sounded on “So Crazy” and dragged him for what they called jumping on a whack song.
Just like any artist who is passionate about what he shares to his fans, Lil Baby didn’t waste time to tweet that he will no more be open for features as he intends to give his fans something they can relate to in his next album.
Some fans didn’t stop there or rather were not satisfied with his tweet yet and still dragged him in the comment section and the rapper made an explanatory apology by saying he is from the street and can’t possibly turn down 100 racks just to talk.
This statement only means that Davido paid Lil Baby 100k dollars for the feature and that’s a huge sum of money for him to say no to when it’s just for him to talk on a beat considering where he is coming from.
Although his statement was not specific to whom he was referring to, we know his song with Davido was the last feature he had and was undoubtedly what triggered all the tweets because fans didn’t talk about any other song on the comment section aside “So Crazy.”
